The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a colorful mix of personalities, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in power within the city.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Warrior Group Revealed

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of characters who will branch out from the main group to begin their own adventure, distinct from the other two tables.

This warrior group includes Teor (played by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might appear unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

First, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a violent first encounter with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.

Casimir then cleared his obligations and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each character has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, seeks revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows the region and advises that it is a hostile environment.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could enable the team access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that govern the setting for a range of causes, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This means them little choice but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Seekers and Strategists tables.

Fans can expect discovering which players will be where in the season’s last Overture episode, released on the upcoming Thursday.
