Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a bizarre crossover event that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of banned practices and monstrous transformations resonate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden group.
The adventure centers on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Changes
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Features
Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an unique katana together with multiple objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
